Admissions Process: Admissions for Playgroup to Grade IX are typically conducted at the beginning of the academic year in January, based on seat availability. Admissions for Intermediate classes take place in April. Falcon Grammar School offers enrolment under the following categories:
Day Scholars
Day Boarders
Full-Time Boarders
Admission considerations include previous academic performance, scores from the written test, and an interview conducted by the School/College Entrance Examination Committee. The written test covers the curriculum of the previous grade. Admission evaluations for Playgroup to Grade XII are as follows:
Playgroup & Nursery: An intelligence/picture test and an interview with parents.
Prep to Grade IX & XI: A written entry test. Candidates achieving 60% or higher proceed to an interview for final selection. For admission to Intermediate Part I, students must have at least 65% in their Matric Board Examination.
Grade X & XII: Admissions to these grades are generally not available, except for transfer cases. Provisional admission is granted based on a Surety Certificate from the previous school/college. Final confirmation is contingent on submitting a Detailed Marks Sheet and achieving at least 65% in Grades IX or XI.
Application Procedure: Admission registration is announced in major newspapers in November. The Registration Form and prospectus can be obtained in person or can be downloaded online. Completed forms, along with required documents, must be submitted by the deadline. Late applications will be considered based on seat availability. Electronic submission of applications is also accepted, with instructions provided on Falcon Grammar School’s official website.
Each application is reviewed, and an acknowledgment is sent. If no acknowledgment is received in a reasonable time, applicants should contact the School Secretary via phone or email. Applicants will be informed of the test and interview dates.
Office Hours for Campus Visits: Monday to Saturday: 8:00 A.M to 6:00 P.M. Sunday: Closed Appointments are recommended.
Transfer Admissions: Transfer students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing at their previous institution. Transfers are subject to the rules of the local Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. A qualifying school test may be required, with other conditions determined on a case-by-case basis.
International Students: Falcon Grammar School has a long history of educating international students, particularly those from Pakistani expatriate families. Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Financial aid is typically not available for international students. Other regulations align with those for domestic candidates.
Withdrawal and Discharge: Parents must provide written notice of withdrawal one month in advance for day scholars and one quarter in advance for boarders; otherwise, fees for that period will be charged. This rule does not apply to children of Armed Forces or government personnel being transferred; a copy of the transfer order should be attached to the notice if possible.
Withdrawal notices during the winter vacation for the upcoming academic session starting in March must be submitted by December 1st. Failure to do so will result in fees for March (day scholars) or the first quarter (boarders) being charged.
School leaving certificates or other documentation will not be issued until all fees and dues are cleared. Withdrawal notices submitted immediately before summer or winter vacations will not be accepted, and full vacation fees will be applicable.
